Hybrid Summer Camp

Hands-on STEAM Activities at Home  |   Indoor Skydiving  |   Week-long Hybrid Summer

Great news!  Insights has partnered with iFLY El Paso  and the War Eagles Air Museum to launch a new STEAM summer camps all about the science of flight.  Our week-long summer camps for elementary and middle school students are designed  inspire our next generation of aerospace engineers, pilots, and evolutionary biologists.  Science of flight camps provide an exciting and socially distant introduction to  a wide range of Science, Technology,  Art, Engineering, and Math subjects with hands on activities and indoor skydiving lessons.  How did flight evolve?  What does fluid mechanics have to do with flippers?  How do you move your body to change directions skydiving?

Your kids will have a blast skydiving in iFLY’s indoor skydiving chamber, doing hands-on STEAM activities at home, and attending an optional in-person workshop at the War Eagles Air Museum.  Science of flight summer camps are designed to limit exposure to keep your kids safe while providing a fun hands-on experience. Each week-long Science of Flight package includes:

Four individually scheduled indoor skydiving flights at iFLY El Paso

Four hours of guided at-home STEM activities per day (Monday – Friday)

Science of Flight Camp T-shirt

Packet of materials for all hands-on activities (picked up or shipped)

10% discount on future iFLY Family Flight Packs

Optional in-person workshop at the War Eagles Air Museum (Saturday)

At-home Activities:  Campers are engaged in hands-on activities at home Monday through Friday (9 am – 2 pm) with the help of two online camp classes, prepared activity kits, and detailed activity guides.  Very little parental assistance will be necessary for camp participation.  All hands-on activities are designed to spark your child’s interest in STEAM topics and help curb the summer learning loss.
