Nerd Night #39: Getting Outdoors EP

Nerd Night: Getting Outdoors EP

Thursday, April 29th @ 6 pm

Citizen (Community) Science | Outdoor Activities | Environmental Volunteering

As the weather warms and our windy skies give way for greening landscapes and colorful blooms, we can’t wait to get outdoors! April is a month full of celebrations, including being recognized as Citizen Science Month, National Gardening Month and of course Earth Day which is celebrated on April 22 – all of which encourage us to get outside and enjoy mother nature. Have you ever wondered what outdoor activities exist in the city? Have you ever considered how you can make a difference in your local environment? Did you know there are several local organizations that work diligently on preserving open spaces so community members can continue to enjoy natural landscapes? Join us for this Nerd Night to get the answers to all these questions, learn about volunteer opportunities, explore ways that you can contribute to scientific research and more!
