Evolution of Space Exploration - Rocket Science

Jules Verne was one of the earliest authors to write about rockets taking men to the moon in is famous "From the Earth to the Moon"1865, which in turn inspire H. G. Wells to write"First Men in the Moon", first published in 1901.

The writing of both Jules Verne and H.G. Wells inspired many budding scientists, most notably Konstantin Tsiolkovsky (Russian physicist and aviation engineer), Robert Goddard (American Rocketry Pioneer), Hermann Oberth (German physicist and mathematician) - all three sharing the title of "Father of Rocketry" - as well as and Edwin Hubble, Astronomer, Stellar Pioneer

On this day we celebrate the contribution of these Pioneers while supporting emerging rocket scientists, astronomers, and space geeks of all kinds

El Paso Space Festival welcomes our newest Community Partner and space neighbor!

Spaceport America will be onsite to share information about the spaceport and next year's Spaceport America Cup, the world's largest intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Ccnference and Competition
